How is RioLife açaí different?
RioLife açaí is naturally organic, grown wild and harvested from açaí trees in the floodplains of the Amazon river around Belem do Para. This area produces arguably the highest quality açaí in Brazil. Not only this, but the packing plant is located in the same area, so it is picked, pulped, packed and frozen within a very short period of time. From Belem it is shipped directly to Sydney. Other distributors may transport their açaí in un-refrigerated trucks for hundreds of kilometres to plants in Sao Paulo or elsewhere to be re-packed. This method of transport causes heat damage and produces a much lower quality product.
RioLife also uses only 14% and 11% fruit solid açaí pulp. 14% is the highest quality you can get outside of the Amazon region. Other distributors only use 7% and 9% (if you’re lucky). We don’t believe in distributing Brazilian water, and would rather people get what they pay for, the amazing health and energy giving properties of açaí pulp.

What form does your açaí come in?
We are selling all our açaí as a frozen pulp and our new Pure Dried acai. Pulping and freezing açaí is the best way to retain all the water soluble nutrients. After this our methods of drying also retain up to 98% of antioxidants, and also enable us to store the product at room temperature without using preservatives.

Is RioLife açaí organic?
RioLife açaí is far better than organic since it is grown wild as part of the Amazon rainforest. The Rainforest is untouched and the trees have grown naturally for thousands of years on a pesticide free island. There is no mass farming or mass production, everything is grown wild and harvested naturally by the natives, hence it is Naturally organic. All other products used by RioLife are also organic, such as organic cane sugar, organic guarana powder and organic supplements.

How often should I consume Açaí?
We eat açaí every day, not only for the health properties, but because it is just so irresistible and our bodies feel neglected if we don’t! We’ll have a Rio Bowl or smoothie for breakfast, and often a Rio juice if our energy levels are waning in the afternoon. Treat açaí as a whole food and part of your diet every day, and you will feel energised from sun up to sun down!
